On Friday, the 15th of August, Karvel L. Karvelsson, CEO of the Agricultural Advisory Centre, and Ragnheiður I. Þórarinsdóttir, Rector of the Agricultural University of Iceland, signed an agreement on cooperation between RML and LbhÍ.
In recent years, the institutions have collaborated effectively on issues related to farming and specific professional aspects of agriculture. Among them are land use, environmental, and climate concerns. The projects span consulting, education, research, and innovation. For example, the RML staff teach at LbhÍ, and professional groups from the institutions meet annually to lay the groundwork for the upcoming year's collaborative projects. Such an advisory meeting was held on August 14th and 15th, featuring several engaging presentations on ongoing projects. In the forthcoming year, there will be a particular emphasis on increasing cooperation in livestock breeding, animal technology, and environmental and climate issues.
