The Agricultural University of Iceland is looking for a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join the project The Nordic Borealization Network (NordBorN) funded by NordForsk's University Cooperation call.
NordBorN will create a collaborative platform for understanding the impact of climate change and land use changes in Nordic terrestrial ecosystems. The aims of NordBorN are to create a research platform to help understand the drivers, processes and consequences of borealization in Nordic ecosystems and to create a hub for training the next generation of Nordic scientists. NordBorN brings together six Nordic universities (Agricultural University of Iceland, Norwegian University of Science and Technology NTNU, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, University of Eastern Finland, Gothenburg University and Aarhus University) and three other partners (Norway Institute of Natural Research, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources and University of Edinburgh).
Main tasks and responsibilities
- The postdoctoral researcher will conduct their own research within the network, as well as participating in collaborative research with an international research team.

Capabilities
- Doctoral degree in ecology, environmental sciences or related subjects.

The postdoctoral researcher will be based at the Agricultural University of Iceland at Árleyni 22 in Reykjavík and will work closely with Dr. Isabel C Barrio and other researchers within the NordBorN team

Salaries are according to the current wage agreement concluded by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and the relevant trade union.
