A specialised, project-based position is available within the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences at the Agricultural University of Iceland (AUI). The project is a collaborative effort between AUI, the University of Iceland, the National Land Survey of Iceland, and the University Centre of the Westfjords focused on establishing a graduate program/diploma in GIS and remote sensing in Iceland. The position is offered as a one-year contract, with the option of part-time or full-time hours, and the possibility of a one-year extension.
Job description
- Collection and analysis of information on the supply of skills in the field of GIS and remote sensing, In Iceland and abroad

Collection and analysis of information on the demand from the domestic and international labour market in the field of GIS and remote sensing

Preparing and performing qualitative research, such as interviews and focus groups

Reporting and oral communication
- Participation to curriculum design
Skills
- Masters degree in GIS/Remote sensing or related field

Experience of teaching at university level desirable

Diploma in pedagogy desirable
