Sustainable agriculture and rural development is a new specialisation within Agricultural Sciences Master's programme
Effective sustainable agriculture, that is agriculture in harmony with the environment and society, is one of the pillars of societal development around the world not the least in context with food security and rural development. The specialisation sustainable agriculture and regional development intertwines the fundamentals of agricultural science with environmental science, innovation, economics, strategic planning and regional development. Many themes will be covered in the specialisation, including agricultural systems and production, food systems and food security, government policy and support, prosperity and the circular economy, climate change, regional development and innovation in rural areas and sustainable land use - all in the context of sustainability.

For non-EU/EEA students the application deadline is January 31 to start the programme in the fall of the same year. For students from EU/EEA countries the application deadline is April 15 to start the programme in the fall of the same year.
