• Uppbygging alþjóðlegra viðurkenndra rannsókna á sviði landslagsarkitektúrs og skipulagsfræða

• Birting ritrýndra vísindagreina og öflun rannsóknastyrkja

• Kennsla og þróun námskeiða í grunn- og framhaldsnámi

• Leiðbeining nemenda í bakkalár-, meistara- og doktorsnámi

• Virk þátttaka í faglegu þróunarstarfi og uppbyggingu náms í landslagsarkitektúr og skipulagsfræðum

• Development of internationally recognized research in the fields of landscape architecture and planning

• Publication of peer-reviewed scientific articles and acquisition of research grants

• Teaching and development of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels

• Supervision of students at the bachelor¿s, master¿s, and doctoral levels

• Active participation in professional development work and in the development of education in landscape architecture and planning

Hæfniskröfur // Qualification requirements

• Doktorspróf í landslagsarkitektúr eða skyldum greinum

• Reynsla af háskólastúdíókennslu og hönnunarvinnu nauðsynleg

• Reynsla af rannsóknum og öflun rannsóknarstyrkja sem tengjast landslagsarkitektúr, skipulagsfræði eða tengdum fræðum

• Þekking á aðstæðum og helstu áskorunum innan landslagsarkitektúrs á Norðurlöndum

• Reynsla af kennslu og áhugi til fjölbreyttrar miðlunar á fræðasviðinu

• Skýr framtíðarsýn á kennsluháttum, rannsóknum og þróun fræðasviðsins

• Samstarfshæfni og lipurð í samskiptum

• Íslenskukunnátta er æskileg

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in landscape architecture or a related field

• Experience in university-level studio teaching and design practice is required

• Experience in research and in securing research funding related to landscape architecture, planning, or related disciplines
• Knowledge of the context and key challenges within landscape architecture in the Nordic countries

• Teaching experience and an interest in diverse methods of knowledge dissemination within the field
• A clear future vision for teaching methods, research, and the development of the discipline
• Strong collaboration skills and effective communication abilities
• Proficiency in Icelandic is desirable

Laun samkvæmt gildandi kjarasamningi sem fjármála- og efnahagsráðherra og viðkomandi stéttarfélag hafa gert.

Umsókn skal fylgja ferilskrá, kynningarbréf, vottorð um menntun, starfsreynslu og ritaskrá.

Samkvæmt reglum Landbúnaðarháskóla Íslands er rektor heimilt að veita framgang í stöðu dósents eða prófessors strax í kjölfar nýráðningar, uppfylli umsækjandi hæfniskröfur.

Landbúnaðarháskóli Íslands áskilur sér rétt til að hafna öllum umsóknum.

Applications must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae, a cover letter, certificates of education, documentation of professional experience, and a list of publications.

In accordance with the rules of the Agricultural University of Iceland, the Rector is authorized to grant promotion to the position of Associate Professor or Professor immediately following appointment, provided that the applicant meets the qualification requirements.

The Agricultural University of Iceland reserves the right to reject all applications.
