Over three intensive days, students from different programmes at LBHI, including those joining the university through the Erasmus programme, immersed themselves in the Andakíll Bird Sanctuary, exploring new ways of learning with and from a landscape that is part of their everyday surroundings.

Through collective, embodied, and sensory experiences, we learned about the bird species that inhabit and migrate through Andakíll, tracing their journeys and experiencing their perspectives firsthand. We explored the sanctuary’s different habitats and ecological relationships, translating these encounters into environmental education and design strategies for the territory.

Becoming Birds approaches multispecies learning as a design methodology, where observation, empathy, and site immersion become tools for imagining new forms of coexistence.
